I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.



This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

1.25.13

Matthew 16:15-17 Then he (Jesus) asked them, "But who do you say that I am?"

Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God."

Jesus replied, "You are blessed, Simon son  of John, because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being."

My Thoughts
I love this!!  All of our knowledge comes from God.  The minute we wonder who Jesus is, is the minute God has chosen us to be one of His children. We are chosen by God himself. The minute we even wonder, God has put that wonder of Jesus into our hearts, because He loves us, and He has stretched out His hand to us and said, "Come to me!" 
 
God gives us free will, so it is our choice to believe. But even before we believe God loves us. If you have ever thought, "Is there a God? Does God love me? What about Jesus? Did Jesus die for me?" Then God has already knocked on your heart, He is already saying to you, "I choose you, I love you! Now choose me, believe!"
