I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.

This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

9.6.12

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

My Thoughts
Do not depend on your own understanding!!...I am learning to take things to God so that he can explain them to me!!  When I do He will point out my error in thinking or the way I saw something.  Remember God is always fair.. He is fair to us and just as fair to others.  I am learning that if my feelings have been hurt... or somebody says something that upsets me... if I talk to God about it, He will explain their side to my heart.  I use to see it as me trying to talk myself into giving someone the benefit of the doubt... now I recognize it as the Holy Spirit telling my heart the truth.   It is amazing when it happens.  It makes me able to walk away with a song in my heart.  A better understanding. It makes me better able to love others!!  God's understanding is far beyond anything we can understand.  God sees the big picture, God sees every body's heart, God knows all sides.  Our understanding of a situation is never full, it is always lopsided, it is filled with our opinion.  God's understanding is perfect, it is from all sides, it is fair to all sides it is truth in it's purest form.  We can't go wrong by trusting God's understanding of all situations in our lives.

Verse of the Day said...

I often find I do better when I rely on God. Its when I rely on myself that I don't do as well. When I find myself in a situation where I don't know what I am doing, Which is more often then I would like, I simply ask God to be with me, and I fare much better. I wish more people would realize this.
