I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.



This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

9.4.12

Ecclesiastes 7:29 But I did find this: God created people to be virtuous, but they have each turned to follow their own downward path.

My Thoughts
If God created us to be virtuous it is possible, with God's grace.  It may not always be easy but it is always possible.  This verse also tells me that when we act in a way that is not virtuous it is our own doing...we can not be pushed, led, dragged... we do it ourselves. We make the choice.  We can't blame anybody else.  We have God's grace to make the right choice no matter what anybody else chooses.  It tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that God will not let us be tempted by more than we can bare and that God always gives us a way of escape. God gives us His grace always to make the right choice.  Only we can make the choice.  Only we are responsible for the choice we make.
