I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.



This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

9.5.12

Ecclesiastes 10:10 Using a dull ax requires great strength, so sharpen the blade.  The value of wisdom; it helps you succeed.
 
My Thoughts
I love how the Bible gives us advice about everything!!!  How we learn from it's history. How the wisest king ever to live, Solomon, wrote down so much for us to learn from. How God gave him that knowledge and made sure that it lasted for the ages so that we could learn from it. I love how that even though this Book was written so many, many years ago we still benefit from it today!! I love that each time I read through the Bible I learn more and more and more!! 
 
I love that right here it tells me that getting prepared saves me time and energy!!  It tells me that if I will seek wisdom I will succeed. I love that all that we need to know is written down, it is right at our fingertips... it is ours for the taking.  We just have to pick it up and start reading!!
