I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.



This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

2.20.12

Proverbs 10:7 We have happy memories of the Godly but the name of the wicked person rots away.

My Thoughts
I don't know a person alive that does not want to be remembered! Some more than others, but we all want to be remembered when we are gone.  The Bible tells us here how to be remembered! If we are godly people will remember us with happy thoughts.

Everything that we are comes from God.... that means that our deepest desires are planted in us by God. Sure the TV...and magazines tell us all the time what we want.... but the things that we all truly want...that are often masked my commercialism or our own insecurities... the things we think we want because we are trying to fill the emptiness inside of us...the things we truly want... things like wanting to be remembered...those things are put there by God... so it makes complete sense that the Bible would hold all the answers to our happiness.  Look God even tells us how to be remembered!
