I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.

This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

John 5:19-20 So Jesus explained, " I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself.. He does only what he sees the Father doing.  Whatever the Father does, the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him everything he is doing. In fact, the Father will show him how to do even great works than healing this man."

My Thoughts

Even Jesus knew he could do nothing without God... and Jesus knew that if he did the things God showed him to do that he could do even greater things than healing.... if Jesus knew he needed God to be able to accomplish all that he was capable of  then don't we need God!!... of course we do... Jesus did wonderful things, miraculous things... things we never imagine doing... but there is so much more we can do that we are doing... but to be able to do those things we have to depend on God to help us.. we have to spend time with God reading his word, learning what he wants,  quiet time listening to God when we pray...not just us doing all the talking...  God loves us ....if we depend on God just as Jesus did then God will show us how to do greater things than we are doing right now... greater things than we even know how to dream of... remember if Jesus could do nothing without God neither can we!
