I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.

This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

John 8:15 Jesus told them, "you judge me by human standards, but I don not judge anyone."

My Thoughts
In John 8:7 when the people were demanding the woman who had committed adultery be stoned Jesus said "All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone." and everyone walked away...Did Jesus stone the woman? No Jesus who was without sin loved the woman!... if Jesus who is perfect does not Judge a person even by heavenly standards.... he ask that we who are so far from perfect not judge a person!... we have no idea what a person had come from, what they have been through in their lives, what they have been taught.... Our goal is to be like Jesus!!... to love our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22)....Jesus didn't judge... Jesus loved... we don't want to be judged by our actions, by our mistakes...we want to be loved in spite of our actions and our mistakes... so today when you feel the need to judge somebody stop and take a moment to ask God to forgive you of your sins...then say a pray for the person that you wanted to judge.... take a moment to be sweet and kind to them, just as Jesus was sweet to the lady that the people wanted to stone... I know as people we tend to pass a lot of pur time talking about people... if we are going to talk about people lets build people up!!...lets never be guilty of stoning them with our words... after all none of us would be able "cast the first stone"... and Jesus didn't!
