I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.

This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

Proverbs 15:15 For the despondent, every day brings trouble; for the happy heart, life is a continual feast.

My Thoughts
Despondent means •without or almost without hope; "despondent about his failure"; "too heartsick to fight back". .... I know people that are despondent... it's so sad to watch... even when you know that they should be having fun... even when they are in a room where people are engaging them they are heartsick.... there is nothing you can do for them no matter how hard you try to lift their spirits.... they can even get angry when you try....that can be so sad... and even frustrating.... I have know people so far down that they are  so comfortable with being despondent that they didn't even try for hope... it can bring you to tears... But with God there is always hope... God is the source of all hope.... God is our hope and if we have God with us even in times of trouble our heart is lighter.. we can see light... we know without a doubt that we are not alone and it gives us peace... a peace that truly passes all understanding!!... in in times of happiness... we can fell pure joy!!.... a despondent person knows no joy or happiness... isn't it wonderful, truly wonderful to have God in your corner!
