I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.

This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

4.27.10

Luke 23:35 The crowd watched and the leaders scoffed. "He saved others," they said, " let him save himself if he is really God's Messiah, the Chosen One."

My Thoughts

We know that Jesus was God's son... the Messiah, The Chosen... we know Jesus could have saved himself but he didn't because he loved us so so much!!.... what I want us to think about today is this... if we were drowning, or one of our children were drowning, or one of our parents or our spouse was drowning and someone jumped in to save us or them... and they were no where to be found afterwards.... then we looked and there there were sitting on the shore we would run up to them and thank them, hug them, we would forever love them for what they did for us.... any time we could we would spend time with them... we would be in constant awe of their selflessness... we would think of them daily... we would tell stories about how they had saved us even thou they didn't have to.... and if they said to us now all I ask is that you treat others people with the same loved I showed you... we would go about trying to do that!!... after all they saved us and that is all they asked in return!!!.... Lets treat Jesus who gave his life for us and our families just like we would treat a man that was willing to risk his life for us and our families... less love Jesus as much as he loves us!
