I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.

This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

James 5:19-20 My Dear brothers and sisters, if someone among you wanders away from the truth and is brought back, you can be sure that whoever brings the sinner back will save that person from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins.

My Thoughts
This is the most important thing we can do for a person... but somehow the hardest to do... we are taught to be polite... to be politically correct.. to stay out of other peoples business... we don' t want to step on toes.. we don't want our toes stepped on... we especially don't want someone to tell us what we are doing wrong by somebody else that is doing wrong!... so the first step we can take toward bring a wander back to God is to make sure we are close to God ourselves... to make sure that we are doing all that we can in our lives to produce the fruits of the spirit which are But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5: 22).  There is this lady at my church that embodies all the fruits of the spirit... she is one person that could come to me and tell me what I was doing wrong and it would not offend me in the least...I would know without a doubt that she was telling me this in love... if we want to be a good witness for God...if we want to lead people back...we need embody love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness gentleness and self-control... we need to be the change we want to see in the world...this is the first step to being one of God's disciples.
