I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.



This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

8.22.10

1 Corinthians 14:33a For God is not a God of disorder but of peace.

My Thoughts
Oh this verse is so much a verse to put to memory!!.... It is important to have this verse in your memory so that when you life is in disarray... when you are having a bad day... when nothing seems to be going right in your life you can stop and remind yourself "God is not a God of disorder but a God of peace." and this can remind you to call out to God... to ask God to help you get your day in order, your business in order, your life in order... so you can be reminded that you can say "Oh God I have made such a mess of things, please help me... please forgive me for getting in your way of my life... Please put my life, my day, this hour, this minute back in order... please nudge me hard enough that I feel your nudging."  God always forgives, and always helps... we just don't always ask.... Put this verse in your memory so that you can be reminded that God will make order of your life! God gives up peace. God can give us a peace that passes all understanding!
