Proverbs 21:9 It's better to live alone in the corner of an attic than with a quarrelsome wife in a lovely home.
My Thoughts
This is what this verse is saying to me it is better to be all alone if that is the only way you can keep your actions in line with God's will... if you have a spouse that makes you think, or say or do things that you shouldn't ... or a friend or group of friends that makes you think or do the things that are not in alignment with God's will... it could be a job... if you have to have less to do what God wants that is better for you than having wonderful things... this verse says to me... God is the most important thing to have... and you don't need to let anybody or anything get in the way of your relationship with God.... the wonderful thing about God is once you get right with him...once you are strong enough to have other things and stay in alignment with God's will in your life... he will give you everything else that you desire!
