I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.



This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

8.14.37

Nehemiah 9:21 For forty years you sustained them in the wilderness, and they lacked nothing.  Their clothes did not wear our, and their feet did not swell."

My Thoughts
The children of Israel didn't do what God told them to do, and they ended up wandering in the wilderness for 40 years... the consequences for their actions... but God took care of them even while they were paying the consequences for their actions... He feed them manna... and get this... in 40 years "their clothes did not wear out and their feet did not swell."  Just think about that... that is amazing!... we can wander from God.. but when we are His children... really his children he takes care of us... even in places where it seems impossible to be taken care of.... he takes care of us even as we pay the consequences for our actions. We can always, always depend on God even when God hasn't been able to depend on us.
