I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.

This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

Proverbs 27:20 Just as Death and Destruction are never satisfied, so human desire is never satisfied.

My Thoughts
WOW!  WOW! We are always going to want...want, want, want, want, want!!  Always!!  We don't even need the media to tell us what to want...if there were no media we will still going to want something that we don't have.  Being aware of this is so very important!! So often we think we will make time for God "after." After we get the thing we are working for.  But, there is always going to be a new thing to work for, to want and if we don't make time for God in the mist of our wants we will never make time for God... because this verse tells us that our human desire is never satisfied.  We are going to "want" right up until Christ comes back for us... so if we don't make time in the mist of our desires there won't be time.

So today when we think we should pray, or we think we should take time to read God's word, or we think we should call a friend in need .. we don't need to decide to do it "after." We need to do it now...because we are never, ever going to be finished chasing our desires.

Did I say WOW!?
