I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.

This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

8.25.12

Psalm 40:8 I take joy in doing your will, my God, for your instructions are written on my heart.

My Thoughts
Right and wrong are always there... God puts what is right in our hearts and the devil whispers what is wrong in our heads.  Satin is cunning... he even used scripture with Jesus, while Jesus was in the wilderness, to try and get Jesus to sin. But what is right is always, always there in our hearts instructing us.  It is important to know God's word to help us know the difference in what is right and what is wrong, especially since the devil like to twist the scripture in our heads.  Prayer is important too.  When we are struggling we can go to God, we might not always like the answer God gives us, but God will make it clear what the right thing to do is.  I am learning that if the right thing is not clear to me just yet, then waiting is better than making a wrong choice.  Sometimes God ask us to wait... even if people are pressuring us God may want us to wait.  If waiting makes us "miss out" on something, just think what God can give us is so much more that what any man is able to give us.  No decision made without God is going to be as sweet as a decision made with God.  We just have to listen to our hearts, know God's word and ask for God to speak to us through the Holy Spirit.  We also have to be honest with ourselves when we are deciding by asking, "Is this what I want, or is this  what God would want." This question can always help us hear our heart over our head much better.

Always remember God wants what is very best for us, always. And God always knows what is very best for us.  We can never go wrong by choosing what God wants for our lives.
