I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.

This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

Psalms 100:4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise.

My Thoughts
I have heard this verse forever... it is one I recognize... but today is the first time that I totally completely got it... We don't know when our last day is... we don't know when Jesus is coming back... the only way to be sure and ever God's presence with thanksgiving and praise is to be in constant prayer with God... telling Him all the time... in the good moments and the bad moments "Thank you God".... to be telling God all the time "I praise you God.".... I know that this seems impossible to do... there is so much to do... so much to think about... but God tells us He will take care of us... so when you feel your mind going to worry... that is a moment that we can be in telling God how much we love him... how much we thank him... when we start having thoughts of judgment of others that is a time that we can be thanking God and praising God... we you feel yourself about to talk about somebody else that is another time you can be thanking God and praising God... that is a huge part of our day!  The only way to make sure that we enter the gates of heaven with thanksgiving... and praise is to do it all the time... ALL  the time.... If we are in constant thankfulness and praise then God is present in our life to take care of the things we never change with worry.
