I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.

This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

10.4.11

Jeremiah 3:22 “My wayward children,” says the Lord, “come back to me, and I will heal your wayward hearts." “Yes, we’re coming,” the people reply, “for you are the Lord our God.

My Thoughts
We can never get so far from God that he can't reach us when we call out. The Children of Israel strayed from God over and over and over again. God always loved them!!  God took them back.... God said to them and he says to us "come back to me, and I will heal your wayward hearts." We all mess up...even when we are trying to do our very best and especially when we are not trying at all. God loves us still... all we have to do is confess our sins, tell God that we are sorry...and God says right here in his word that he will "heal our wayward hearts!" I love this!  God loves us so much... I love that I can say to God "I want to have great faith, I want to do what you ask of me... but, God sometimes I have such a hard time... I need your help!" and God helps me, he helps me every single time.

It is so important for us to know that we can always call out to God, always! God loves us so much and is there, ever present, for us! Always! So often we attribute human qualities to God.  So often people don't forgive and we feel like God can never forgive us. Think of the person you love most in the world...how often have you forgiven that person, even when you thought that you couldn't. God forgives more than we can even think to forgive, God loves more than we can imagine loving. God can heal more than we can fathom. God says "My wayward children, come back to me, and I will heal your wayward hearts." Our part is to always, always come back to God...our biggest mess up in so much smaller than God's great love.
