I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.

This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

Isaiah 30:18 So the Lord must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion.  For the Lord is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for his help.

My Thoughts
I wonder how many times we are waiting for God to step in, when we have not asked Him too?!  Because we have not gone to Him?  How many times do we wonder where God was when we never invited Him into that situation.

I just had to stop what I was doing and ask God into my day!  Into my words, into my actions, to prepare my mind to lean much tonight. (I am going on a Ladies Retreat with my church.)  I invited God into my body to keep it healthy and pain free!

I wonder what I have missed out on because I didn't go to God, I expected God to come to me? I pray, I talk to God, I ask God into lots of things in my life... but they are the hard things I tend to ask for.  Sometime I ask for easy things.  I want Him in all parts of my life.  But I always expect that He knows that... He does know that... but here the Bible tells us that He must wait for us to come to Him. No matter what God knows, He has given us free will, that free will means that we have to be the person that says "Come and help me with my day God." "Come and help me with my words, God." "Come and help me with my thoughts, God." "Come and heal my body for today, God." "Come and be a part of my time with my family, God." "Come and give me wisdom today, God."

You know this is really, really exciting to me!  So exciting!  God gives us the control, to give Him control. I want God in control in my life, when I am in control I can really mess things up!  Now I am so much more aware of how to give God control over my day!!
