Psalms 14:3 Take control of what I say, O Lord, and guard my lips.
My Thoughts
These are the words of David... who loved God with all his heart... who talked to God on a regular basis... who went to God with everything... who seek-ed after God. David depended on God... even for control of what he said. O Lord, guard my lips....I wonder how our homes, hour work places, the ball fields, our churches, our lives would change if we all asked God to guard our lips?! Then listened when the Holy Spirit said "oh don't you say that!" It would surly be a better place. I try all the time to listen when the Holy Spirit tells me not to say something... it can change your life... I need to add this prayer for God to control what I say. If we are to strive to be like Jesus, and we are, our words should be full of love, kindness and understanding. What will your words be today.
