I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.

This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

6.8.10

I Kings 2:3 "Observe the requirements of the Lord your God, and follow all his ways. Keep the decrees, commands, regulations and laws written in the Law of Moses so that you will be successful in all you do and wherever you go."

My Thoughts
This is what David told his son Solomon just before he died. Solomon did as David told him and God blessed him beyond measure!... Jesus tells us what God expects of us in the New Testament, we are to love God with all our heart, soul and mind and love our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22: 37-39). We are to give thanks to God for all things. (I Thessalonians 5:18). Just as God blessed Solomon, and the Children of Israel when they did what God ask, God will bless us when we do what God ask. What better thing than to be blessed by God! To know what God ask of us we need to read and study his words so that they will be so much a part of our heart that we constantly away that the choices we make are choices that would make God happy. How much more do you do for your own children when you feel happy!... God loves being happy with us... he loves showering us with his blessings. Today when you are making a decision ask yourself would this make God happy before you move forward!.
