I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.

This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

6.2.12

Genesis 12:2 I am blessed and I am a blessing to people. I dispense good to others.

My Thoughts
Luke 12:48 says "To whom much is given, much is required."  God expects us to help others.  To do for others. To make others feel loved. We are to go about dispensing hope. We often wonder how to witness to others.  Doing for them out of love, pure love given to someone you don't even know. That is how we are the best witness for God... for God's amazing love. When they ask."Why would you do this for me?"...we can say "God told me to because he loves you so much!" When God blesses our lives He expects us to pay those blessing forward to others.  When we do for others, God does for us. We can not out give God!

I wonder all the time how God wants me to help others.  I want to be a blessing. I want to do what God would have me do.  I love, loving other people. But I am often at a loss at how to go about helping others. Are you?

I believe that maybe I should always, always keep a Wal-Mart gift card in my purse...just for that purpose....an opportunity when I see someone in need to always have something on hand earmarked just for the purpose of being a blessing.

What are you are ideas of being prepared to bless others?  I would love to hear them!!
