I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.

This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

Mark 9:23-24 What do you mean, "If I can?" Jesus asked.  "Anything is possible if a person believes." The father instantly cried out, "I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!"

My Thoughts

Even the disciples, who walked with Jesus everyday, witnessed Jesus' miracles each day had trouble believing... I believe this father was effected by their disbelief... the father had just asked the disciples to heal their daughter...they couldn't  because of their moment of disbelief...then then when the father asked Jesus the father had a moment of disbelief...the father had believed, he brought his child to be healed... but when Jesus told him, "Anything is possible if a person believes." that father felt that belief coming back...it was just a little bit of belief.... tiny... but enough that his child was healed!!!...when our belief falters we show faith by asking for belief, God helps us with anything... asking for belief shows you have a tad bit of belief in your heart!!!... showing your belief helps others have it!.. when you need to ask God for something and  you feel yourself thinking "God can't do that for me" or "God won't do this for me", ask God to help you overcome your unbelief...and great thing will happen!.. in Luke 17:6 it says The Lord answered, "if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, now that is tiny.... if you have that much faith...all you have to start out with is "help me overcome my unbelief!" then ask God for what you need, ask him for the things you want and see what happens.
