I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.

This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

2.13.10

Psalm 34:9 & 10 Fear the Lord, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need.  Even the strong, young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.

My Thoughts

Fear (n.) dread or alarm in facing danger; profound reverence and awe. I was compelled to look fear up to better understand this passage...  King David is telling us if we have profound reverence and awe of God we will have all we need.... need not want... and if we trust in the Lord we will lack no good thing.... that is things we want... so we have to have trust in God to have the things we want.... and we have to trust that when he doesn't give us the things that we want that God may be choosing not to give us something because it is not a "good thing" for us to have ... maybe its the timing  in our life that makes our want  not a "good thing"... but we must always remember that God know what we need ...and God knows what things are good for us... so lets have profound reverence and awe of God... so we will be full, and warm, and have clothing, and a job...all the things we need.... then lets take a faith to another level and have trust in God... and he will give us the "good things" we want... how exciting is that!!!
