I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.

This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

Psalms 37:5-6 Commit everything you do to the Lord.  Trust him, and he will help you.  He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.

My Thoughts
I love this... I worked with this girl once that was raised up in church, her dad is a preacher.  She loves God with all her heart and soul.  I never heard her judge anybody, never saw her angry. I never heard her talk about anybody in a bad way.  She always gave people the benefit of the doubt.  She was soft spoken.  You knew the first time you met her that she loved God.  She was radiant and strong.  She just always had this spirit about her that was amazing.  She still does when I happen to run into her.  She committed everything to the Lord.  God did help her... and you would have never thought her guilty of anything.  Hr innocence did radiate like the sun!  Not only did she not talk about anybody, nobody ever said anything, not one word about this sweet lady that was not good or sweet or kind.  She was an example of this verse.  I hope to be able to go forward in my life and be an example of this verse like my friend Karen.  We need to ask ourselves if people can see God in us...if the answer is no, or maybe or sometimes then we need to make some changes in our lives. Those changes could only bring about good.
