Matthew 21:43 I tell you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and give to a nation that will produce the proper fruit.
My Thoughts
The proper fruit is the fruit of the Spirit which is stated in Galatians 5:22-23 " But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!" We are told what the proper fruit is... and if we want our nation to be strong we have to be the kind of people that have love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. We can look around and say so many of these things are missing from our great nation... and we may even tell ourselves that we can't make a difference. But we can... we can do our part to save our nation!... We can be the person in our family, in our Church, at work, at the mall that produces the fruit of the spirit. When we are these things more times than not we will get these very things in return. An if somebody ask why you are always loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle and where you get that self-control from, this is your perfect opportunity to say "from Jesus, He ask me to live like this and He tells me we will loose our great nation if I don't." We need to live in a way that people want what we have. When we are not loving, kind, patient... when we don't produce the fruits of the Spirit we don't present ourselves as Christians... and people won't want what we have. We won't have what we have as a country if we don't work hard to have the kind of life that is "fruitful." Yes, you can make a difference, I can make a difference. I can be the change I want to see in others. And I want others to be loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle and oh do I want them to have self-control. I can only ask this of other people if I act this way myself. I challenge you to do your part to save our great nation I challenge you to live with the fruits of the Spirit.
