I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.

This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

2.9.11

Proverbs 8:22-23 “The Lord formed me from the beginning, before he created anything else. I was appointed in ages past, at the very first, before the earth began.

My Thoughts
Before the earth was even formed God had a plan for Jesus!  That is very comforting... God knew that we would make mistakes... that we would sin.  Jesus was waiting up in heaven before all the great people of the Old Testament were even born to die for their sins...and He was waiting to  to die for our sins.  God knew our weaknesses and he planned for them.  So even though we are not worthy for all the gifts God has in store for us, he planned a way for us and sent Jesus to make us whole.  If God planned for our greatest weaknesses  you know he had to make plans for out greatest strengths. So if we can pray for our sins to be forgive, we can also pray for out strengths to grow into something useful and wonderful. Let's learn to as God to nurture the gifts he put in our lives to the fullest.

Jeannie - your thoughts always help me to some conclusion that I hadn't thought of after reading a verse. Praying for help with our strengths is something I hadn't considered and will be something I do from now on!
Thank you!
