I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.

This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

2.15.11

Proverbs 9:11-12 Wisdom will multiply your days and add years to your life. If you become wise, you will be the one to benefit. If you scorn wisdom, you will be the one to suffer.

My Thoughts
The Bible tells us that true wisdom comes from God.  If we seek after God and listen to his teachings... God will make us wiser and wiser and wiser.... but we have to do the seeking.  My Bible has 1396 pages... of amazing wisdom... in it I have found so many ways to improve who I am and what I do, who I want to be.. I find peace that I longed for for years...that peace in my body alone will add years to my life... each time I pick up God's word I read something, that when applied will change me forever... only in good ways.  Since I have been reading God's word I have had people tell me that I glow... learning from God through His Word, and through talking with Him...and taking time to listen to Him can have an amazing effect on our daily lives.  I urge you that if you have not spent time in God's word on a regular basis to try it... try it for a month, apply it for a month... see how it changes you.  I have only been blessed by doing this...and I so wish that I had done it years ago!!... I would love to know how it changes you!!

Jeannie - today I started my One Year Bible...I read the first readings and then came to this last reading from Proverbs and was once again shocked by the clarity that God speaks to us in his own way. I happy to be seeking wisdom through his word. I'm doing so now because of your blog! So thank you - and I can't wait to be a bit wiser ;)
