I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.



This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

Proverbs 11:27 If you search for good, you will find favor; but if you search for evil, it will find you.

My Thoughts

Remember favor is defined as gracious kindness:  approval from a superior; a special privilege or right granted or concede see also GRACE...and grace is defined as Gods free and unmerited favor toward sinful humanity... so to me this means God will find favor with us even though we don't deserve it if we try!!... if we look for the good in others... the minute you think a bad thought about someone use that as a signal to find something good about them!!...I know that can be hard some days... but try it...every time you are aggravated at someone around you... every time you think someone is being hateful... stop and say ok ... what do I see good about that person.... and see what happens to your day... don't look for the change in them... look for the change in you .... have you ever noticed how evil can just take over a day?!?... how when you start having a bad day... it gets worse and worse and worse... it just spirals out of control... that is because evil found you...and just took over!!!... and that evil can start with a single bad thought about another person.... so when you have that bad thought but a break on a bad day.... hold up your God armor to evil to the devil!!... and find something good about that person... say a prayer for that person... and watch Gods favor take over you day!!... I am going to work on this... I would love to hear from you let me know if this changes your day!
