Colossians 3:12-14 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.
My Thoughts
When we get dressed in the morning... when we clothe ourselves... we make a deliberate choice in what to ware then we put on what we have chosen. This verse is telling us to choose to be tenderhearted, kind humble, gentle and patience... to make allowances for others faults... it is telling us to chose to forgive... to choose love. It is telling us that no matter what the circumstances are in our day... no matter how we feel we are to to choose these things. Each day, in each circumstance we find ourselves in...we have a choice to make in how we act or react... and no matter how we "feel" we can always make the choice to clothe ourselves in the right clothes!
