I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.

This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

5.9.10

John 6:5-6 Jesus soon saw a huge crowd of people coming to look for him.  Turning to Phillip, he asked. "Where can we buy bread to feed all these people?" He was testing Phillip, for he already knew what he was going to do.

My Thoughts
Jesus knew he was going to do... Jesus just wanted Phillips, who had seen him do great things, to have faith that Jesus would take care of the disciples and all the people... Phillip showed he did have faith, even after all he has seen in the next verse when Phillip answered "Even if we worked for months, would wouldn't have enough money to feed them!"... when we are facing a difficult situation in our lives whether it be how we are going to pay for something, how we are going to eat, how we are going to get through the day... any difficulties we have to face... Jesus wants to here us say God will take care of this!!...it will be ok God will provide.... Jesus wants to know that will have faith!!.... if we have faith that God will provide the answers will come... so today if you feel your mind asking questions, don't speak them out loud... instead speak out loud its ok I know God will provide....then see what wonderful things happen.
