I decided to start this blog (2010) because my son, John-Robert gave me a One Year Bible for Christmas, the New Living Translation... reading it has changed my life... I post a daily Bible verse on my Facebook page every day and it has been well received... I thought that this would be a wonderful way to share part of what I read each day!... I hope that you enjoy it.



This Year 2012 I am going to do things a little different... not much...just a little. I am again reading through my One Year Bible (for the 3rd time). But I am also using "The Secret Power of Speaking God's Word" by Joyce Meyer. This book is divided by putting scriptures under different categories so they can be used to speak over our life situations. Each day I will read a category of scripture and pick a scripture in that category to write about.

1.11.13

Genesis 26:12 when Isaac planted his crops that year, he harvested a hundred times more grain than he planted, for the Lord blessed him. 

My Thoughts
God had told Isaac that if he went to this certain city that God would bless him there.  Isaac went and looked what God did!!  He gave Isaac 100 times more grain that he planted.  A hundred times more!!!!  Do you know why?   Because Isaac trusted God and did what God ask him to do. 
 
There are so many promises in God's word about how He will provide for us if we just do what He ask!!  To be blessed we have to do what Isaac did, trust God and do what He ask of us. 
 
What I am learning is this...when I feel God missing from what I do it is not because God has abandoned me... it is because I forgot to include God in my decision. Every time I make choices based on God those choices are blessed by God!! 
 
Receiving blessing from our wonderful God requires faith that He will do what He says... and our obedience in what God ask us to do.  If we do these things God will take care of us in amazing ways!!  Don't you know that Isaac was amazed, utterly amazed when his seeds produced 100 times what he planted!!  I want to live my life in amazement!!!
